Female writer: J.K Rowling (1965-)

WHO IS SHE?
Writer and producer of British cinema, she is known mainly for her series of Harry Potter youth books, a true literary phenomenon worldwide, being translated into more than 20 languages.
She studied classical and French philology, working as a researcher and secretary for Amnesty International before working in Portugal as an English teacher in 1992. Before she went to Portugal, in 1990 she was inspired the character of Harry Potter on a trip from Manchester to London .
When he finished his first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, he was presented to numerous publishers and rejected, until Bloomsbury decided to publish it. His editors advised him to use the acronym J.K. Instead of his real name to publish the first book, for fear that readers would be reluctant to read their books because they are written by a woman, the letter K comes from her grandmother Kathleen.
He received numerous awards such as Andersen, several Honoris Causa, the Prince of Asturias of Concord and even the French Legion of Honor. In 2007, Time magazine selected her as "Character of the Year" due to her great influence and social, moral and political inspiration that has shaped the characters of Harry Potter.
After the publication of the last book in the series, Harry Potter, he has published several books in the same universe, always for charity.
In 2012 he wrote his first novel for adults The casual vacancy, generating opinions of all kinds. And a year later he adopted the pseudonym of Robert Galbraith to write the books Cormoran Strike a series of black novel for adults, being the song of the cuckoo his second book for adults and getting a great reception by the readers.

She is a person who has created the most influential magical world of youth literature. Performs numerous charitable acts, conferences and interventions in favor of reading, much of its benefits are allocated to charitable works as Volant Charitable Trust that she founded to combat poverty and social inequality.
